People often wonder how we do all that we do in the theatre program at Bryan College: with lots of hard work, talented students, faithful audiences, sound financial backers, and God's blessings. All three of our productions last year were challenging and engaging. We had record breaking crowds and our students did an amazing job of performing and executing these productions. This year will also prove to be one of challenges and hard work. We are planning on a season that focuses on “fires, flowers, and fantasies.” The first production will be Arthur Miller's classic drama – The Crucible. In January we will be performing a revival of Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias as our dessert theatre production in Brock Hall. The year will be rounded out by performances of Man of LaMancha. More details on all three productions are in the enclosed brochure.

This brings us to the purpose of this letter—to solicit for our Patron/Benefactor/Sponsor program. Last year our donors gave generously. It is so encouraging to see how God has blessed our program with generous givers like you who believe in our theatre motto – “Excellence for His glory.”

As a Patron, you will be entitled to two tickets for each production this academic year. Patrons will automatically receive advanced notice, priority seating, and recognition in our Hilltop Players playbills. Our “Patron” program is available to anyone who donates a minimum of $75 to Hilltop Players. For your donation, the College will provide a tax receipt for the tax-deductible portion.

Our midlevel support, the Benefactor program, is designed for those who would like to support Hilltop Players by giving a gift of $175 or more. This program includes a season ticket to all Hilltop Player productions for you and your immediate family living at home, priority seating, and gives special recognition in our program notes.

Our Sponsor level ($250 or more) will include all the privileges of the “Benefactor” level plus highlighted recognition in our programs. Additionally, each sponsor will receive advanced reserve seating for our music concerts as well as two tickets to the annual Christmas banquet (reservations required).

In May, we were able to award, for the fourth year, the “Rachel Morgan Patron Award.,” This year we increased that amount all because of your generosity. The award is given to a Theatre major or minor who has contributed excellence to the Hilltop Player productions. We will continue giving this award annually to deserving students by earmarking a portion of your donation for that purpose. Because we are in dire need of storage space, our capital campaign will be contracting for the construction of a new storage building on the backside of Rudd. In addition we wish to continue to upgrade the stage facilities as well as repair older items as the need arises.. There are many things on our “wish list” that your generosity will help provide.
